Dang, I gotta get me one of these!

SuperMom...a doll representing you so your kids can play with you while you are busy, working, cleaning or doing the groceries...or was this not the idea behind the making process of SuperMom?

I CAUGHT A BASEBALL

I went to my first ever MLB game, The Cubbies and Mariners played in Vegas. On the drive down I said "Since this is my first ever MLB game, I deserve to catch a ball"

Well...it didn't go quite that way.

In the 7th inning, Miguel Cairo for the Mariners got up to bat and hit off 2 fouls. 6 fouls during the game had come within 50 feet of my seat. The next swing... up up and away, right in my direction. We all got on our feet, I put my mitt on, and stepped in the aisle way. My brothers-in-law, Brandon and KC and my friend Bump were in the row right above me. They too stepped out for it. The ball came down, grazing the tip of my mitt as Bump bare hand snagged it right from my glove. Needless to say it gave him a sore hand, and a piece of baseball joy. After a little negotiation, I ended up with the ball. (Thanks Bump!)
I know this wouldn't be a big deal to some, but it is HUUUUGE for me.
The pics are some I took on my phone camera. They are not the quality of photo you are used to seeing on this blog from my pro-photographer wife, but they do the trick, and make me really happy.

What a hottie!!

WOW! Check out this gem I dug out of the archives. This is me a week or so before I had Zander. Everyone keeps telling me that I never got that big, and I always say I WAS HUGE! Nobody ever believes me...well.....now I have proof! So HA! I remember I had Paul try to lift me up and he couldn't. I am actually laughing out loud at this picture! HA HA HA!!! I'm thinkin' I would have looked pretty sexy in a swimming suit- don't you?

Eatin' "Meeps"

Lately Zander has had an OBSESSION with grapes- (otherwise known as "meeps" in our home). This was basically his dinner because he doesn't want to eat anything else. I guess it could be worse, he could be like his mother and eat half a pan of brownies instead. Hmmmm....I wonder where his eating habits come from?

Zander a go-go

My boy is quite a walker now and ALWAYS on the move. To get a shot of him I had to run far ahead of him, stop, and by the time I was ready to take a picture he was already caught up to me. He hasn't figured out that he can put his arms down when he walks though- He walks around like Mini-Me. (To bad to any of you who don't know who he is.)

Zander was having so much fun twirling but unfortunately Paul became motion sick and had to go inside and lay down. It was sad, but quite funny. (Note to self: Make Paul ride with someone else on carnival rides)

Paul took this picture. I think this may actually be the first picture of myself on our blog. I know what your thinking..."Whoa, would you check out the butt on that, Yea, she must work out!" (whoever knows that movie quote deserves something special from someone who will give them something special) Ok, it's getting too late...I'm beginning to get way too weird- and I am starting to have the feeling that I'm going to be the only one that thinks my butt comment was funny. HA HA!

I must have a warped sense of humor because I find this oddly amusing...

ok, actually I think it's hilarious - Nobody call social services, I promise Zander was having fun.

Random pics

For once I haven't had much to say on our blog so I haven't posted in awhile-like a whole 5 days or something HA HA! Anyway, here are just a few pics that I have taken lately.

He likes to climb up on our armoire and push the buttons on the TV. He slipped and fell but caught himself with his arm. This picture makes me laugh because of his little eye poking out from between his toes. It's pretty sad that instead of making sure he's alright- I grab my camera instead. Maybe I should enroll in a parenting class or something.

For those of you that are around Zander- you know that he NEVER sits still. Well...he will now as long as he is watching HE-MAN (remember that show?) It's a DVD of the best of He-man and I have to say that the episodes are pretty hilarious! I can't believe that I used to watch that! Thanks Hillary for the DVD it's been a life saver!

I think that every child who has ever had a Mr. Potato head has a picture of themselves wearing the glasses. Zander is no exception.

I just thought these were cute....

He had the best sleepy face when he woke up from his nap, so of course I had to take his picture.

Where'd it go??

My inquisitive child checking out the chair.

Hey Baby!

I've discovered that my son is quite the ladies man! He is only one years old and already smooching the girl-next-door. If this keeps up I may have my work cut out for me in the future!
I look over at Zander the other day and this is what I saw- my little boy in a cowboy hat, Led Zepplin onesie, reading Are You My Mother and basking in the sunlight. It's nice to know that he can be a rugged rocker, and still be in touch with his soft side HA HA! I hope that sunshine will tan up those pasty white legs- we have enough white people in our family.

Snip Snip

I have to say that there is nothing cuter than my little baby getting his first big boy haircut (sorry Paul, the buzz doesn't count). We figured it was time to say goodbye to the mullet he had been sporting for quite sometime. Unfortunately, I forgot to take an after picture- oops!
