Saying Goodbye

I just wanted all of you to know that we had a loss in our family a couple of nights ago. Paul finally said farewell to his favorite pants, "his comfy's" as they are known around our family. For those of you that know Paul already know that this is a BIG DEAL for him, and a celebration for me. For those of you that don't know his attachment to these pants, let me explaining. Paul and his comfy's have had a long lasting relationship, they even knew each other before Paul and I met (which was eight and a half years ago). There has not been a day where the comfy's haven't graced our home with their beauty. I will miss the paint stains, the missing Velcro, the missing button, and especially the burn holes on the inner leg. There will be a viewing from 7-9 p.m. on Friday Feb. 2nd and the funeral will be held in our garage the following day at 11:00 sharp. All are invited who would like to attend. GOODBYE COMFY'S, you were well loved and you will be missed.

Holy Cow, the second I saw that picture of his pants, I totally recognized them. How funny. I didn't really know that he was that attatched to them, but now that I think about it he did wear them a lot. So why is he getting rid of them? Did you guys fight about it, is there a story behind it, is there a hole in the butt that can be seen by anyone? Good luck!

Shock of the world!! Paul if you miss them too much just give me a call and we can go shopping at DI and find you a new pair just like them. Im curious, was it your idea or were you bribed or what? Humm , you must have had a big sale this week to make you want to part with those pants. :)

Paul,
I have gotten out the black arm bands. I believe the traditional period of mourning is one year. Be brave and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in this terrible time of sorrow. Hang tough, we love you buddy!
Jessica,
Stop jumping up and down with glee. Your husband needs you during this difficult time of transition from comfys to big boy pants. This is a huge step for Paul. You need to be supportive and get him through this. I think a trip to Dillard's not DI would be appropriate for obtaining a new pair of comfys. You don't want to go from bad to worse.

Paul,
I'm sorry we couldn't be with you for the service, but we are snowed in. If we could have been there we would have. Let us know if we can help in any way. Jenn
